The 4th CERIL International Conference on After the Big Bang! Europe’s expanding restructuring and insolvency law regime takes place in the old and historic city of Leuven. The city deserves a visit. We kindly invite you for an informal social event after the Conference on Friday evening 27 March 2025, starting at 16:20.

Program

The program for the social event is as follows:

The conference will conclude around 15:15. After a short break, we will meet for the social program at 16:20.

1. Guided visit of M Leuven Museum
M is a museum and visual arts platform that makes meaningful connections across time, with society and between art disciplines. The museum preserves a fully‑fledged overview of the art production in Leuven and in Brabant from the Middle Ages onward. With its mix of old and contemporary art in the historic centre of Leuven, M stands out.

Top architect Stéphane Beel designed a sleek museum complex around the old Vander Kelen-Mertens city museum. The museum is also the ideal meeting place for young and old, complete with a central courtyard garden and a roof terrace that offers a breath-taking view of the Leuven skyline.

2. Dinner 
The visit of the museum can be followed by a dinner in the city center of Leuven. This will take place at restaurant Mykene. It is a modern space, at the heart of the city centre and close to the law faculty. The old patrician house has been restored, resulting in a nice and spacious restaurant with a pleasant terrace. Mykene offers purely Belgian cuisine and has a broad range of Belgian beers.
