CERIL Survey on the EU Preventive Restructuring Directive
In 2024, the EU Preventive Restructuring Directive 2019/1023 (‘PRD 2019’) celebrates its fifth anniversary. At this occasion, CERIL prepares a statement to analyse the effectiveness and impact of the PRD 2019 on restructuring practices across the European Union and beyond. This survey aims to gather feedback and perspectives among its Conferees and Research Associates and other experts in the field. By sharing your experiences and insights, you will contribute to a better understanding of the successes, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.
The results of this study will be presented at the CERIL international conference on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

2nd CERIL International Conference: Preventive Restructuring in Europe
The Executive is pleased to announce an in-person conference which will take place on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The theme of this year’s conference will be: Preventive Restructuring in Europe.
2024 marks the quinquennial of the PRD 2019. Five years after its adoption, most EU Member States have implemented the Directive, while it has also inspired reforms in several other European countries.
Drawing on experiences gained in the last years, this conference will review selected topics of the new restructuring frameworks. In addition, it will explore the resilience of the restructuring frameworks in times of economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
